WHY HE’S HERE: Scored 4 TDs — all rushing — in Seminole’s huge 49-21 win against region 1-A rival Mitchell County, finishing with 174 yards on 17 carries.

JOSH WARDRIP

POSITION: Running back.

SCHOOL/YEAR: Terrell Academy, Junior.

WHY HE’S HERE: Scored 3 rushing TDs — 14, 30 and 50 yards — in Friday’s 45-14 win against Fullington Academy.

EMMANUL BYRD

POSITION: Quarterback.

SCHOOL/YEAR: Albany High, Junior.

WHY HE’S HERE: Threw for 220 yards on 13-for-19 passing with 3 TDs, and ran for a team-high 62 yards in a 42-7 win vs. Berrien.

DONTREVIOUS BOLDEN

POSITION: Running back.

SCHOOL/YEAR: Randolph-Clay, Sophomore.

WHY HE’S HERE: Rushed for a Southwest Georgia-best so far in this 2011 season of 293 yards and two touchdowns in a 40-18 win vs. Stewart.

I wish Miller County's Marvin Grant (RB) could have gotten his stats in the paper this week. He had 26 carries for 234 yds and a couple of TD's I believe. He should have been on this list for player of the week voting.
