ALBANY, Ga. — The HEART organization Inc. in Albany is conducting the third year of its “Shoes from the HEART” initiative.
The Charitable 501(C)(3) organization is attempting to put 800 pairs of new shoes on deserving children during December.
HEART has designated October as its annual fundraising month with a goal of $20,000.
Since 1980, the mission of HEART. (Hands Extended Across Reaching Together) Organization Inc. has been to progressively assist those who are economically and sociologically challenged in southwest Georgia.
In 2009, HEART expanded its services with a new initiative called “Shoes from the HEART”, which provides shoes to relieve the burden for disadvantaged families.
Checks can be made payable to HEART Organization, Inc. and mailed to P. O. Box 4433, Albany, GA 31706, by Oct. 31.
