I don't get it?
Yep, accumulating scoring to a final of 80-0 seems oppressive. However, how are you going to explain to your players (even the second and third stringers) that they must give their less-than-best efforts when you have spent weeks instilling a winning work ethic? The opposition's defense has the task of preventing Westwood from scoring, and is committed to that task for the game's entirety.
I understand the opposition knew where the ball was coming. Right up the gut all they had to do was make the tackle and yet gave up two more scores?
Sorry, but there are winners and losers in life. If you have the desire to win, then you push until the buzzer sounds. If you want to hold hands and sing Kumbaya and give everyone trophies for participating, then you're not teaching the lesson.
Haha! I get it now, had to keep reading the paper :)
Hey y'all that ain't NOTHIN. Ga Tech beat Cumberland College 222-0 in 1916! WW should have kept the pressure ON!!!
