ALBANY, Ga. — Albany police responded to at least 36 incidents Thursday into the early hours of Friday, according to available reports. Police responded to incidents including:
— Aggravated assault: According to a police report, a woman said “her girlfriend stabbed and bit her on her left arm several times” at a residence on the 500 block of Don Cutler Sr. Drive;
— Inhumane treatment of dog on the 1400 block of Harding Street;
— Entering autos on the 800 block of Moultrie Road, the 2400 block of Nottingham Way, the 400 block of Poplar Street and the 700 block of East Oglethorpe Boulevard;
— Burglaries on the 1200 block of East Broad Avenue and the 400 block of Jeffries Avenue;
— Injured persons on the 2500 block of Jackson Street and the 2000 block of Beachview Drive;
— Defecation in public on the 1700 block of East Oglethorpe Boulevard;
— Interference with officers on the 1000 block of University Street;
—Simple battery on the 1100 block of Colquitt Avenue;
— Battery, party to a crime (domestic), on the 600 block of Mission Court;
— Simple battery (domestic) on the 600 block of West Residence Avenue and the 500 block of Florence Drive;
ALBANY FIRE: Albany firefighters responded to 12 calls Thursday including three activated alarms, a motor vehicle crash, an electric breaker inspection, a fire safety program, an electric short, a vehicle fire, an EMS assist and an assist of Albany police with an alligator on roadway.
