ALBANY -- Mr. William T. "Bill" Stith, Sr. died Saturday, October 15, 2011 at the Willson Hospice House.

His memorial service will be Tuesday 11 AM at Floral Memory Gardens. Pastor Mark Knight and Rev. Rick Billingslea will officiate. The family will be at the residence of Mr. & Mrs. Jerry Gerst, 4904 Grandview Dr., Albany.

A native of Birmingham, Al, Mr. Stith lovingly known as "Daddy Bull" had lived in Albany for a number of years and he was a retired cattle buyer. He was an Army veteran of World War II where he was an avid boxer. Mr. Stith attended The Commons Church loved to fish and build bird houses.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Tee Stith, his parents, Hugh P. and Maude C. Stith, 2 brothers and a sister.

Survivors include his wife Marie Hughes Stith, Portland, ME; daughter, Sue S. Grest and husband Jerry, Albany; son William T. "Pete" Stith, Jr. and wife Sherry, Albany; grandchildren, Garrett Gerst and wife Katie, Cole Gerst, Stefanie Koster and husband Doug, W. T. "P.J." Stith, III; great grandchildren, Rett and Hannah Gerst, Colin and Kennedy Brown, Noah Koster and Reagan Stith; step children, Ellis Hughes, Peter Kent, Claudia Hughes and husband David LeGraffe and several nieces and nephews.
