TIFTON -- Responding to a Cadillac crash into a tractor-trailer in the dark at 6:40 a.m. Tuesday on I-75 near Moultrie Technical College led three Tift County Sheriff's deputies in three patrol cars to crash into each other.
According to information from the Tift County Sheriff's Office spokesman, David Haire, the deputies suffered bumps and bruises and were not admitted to a hospital. Haire said there could have been either a gas tank or oil tank rupture that contributed to the conditions leading to the crash.
Georgia State Patrol troopers are investigating the crash, which left the patrol cars totaled, Haire added. The trooper that investigated the case could not be reached immediately for information on the crash.
