ALBANY, Ga. — Jeremiah Patrick Bently, 33, turned himself to Irwin County Sheriff’s Office deputies at the county jail Wednesday, a Dougherty County Police Department official confirmed Thursday.
“He is being held in their jail on the Irwin County warrant,” said police Capt. Jim Sexton. “We expect he will remain there until that charge is disposed of and then he will be sent to either Tift County or here to repeat the process.”
Bently was wanted in Irwin and Tift counties on theft by taking (firearm) and theft by deception charges. In Dougherty County the warrants are for theft by deception and theft by receiving stolen property.
