Police/Fire/EMS report for Oct. 21, 2011

ALBANY, Ga. — Albany police responded to at least 53 incidents Wednesday into the early hours of Thursday, according to available police reports. Police responded to incidents including:

— Simple battery on the 2000 block of Schilling Avenue;

— Entering auto on the 1700 block of Myrtle Road and the 1400 block of West Broad Avenue;

— Deceased person on the 2700 block of McClain Lane;

— Burglary on the 1700 block of West Town Road, the 700 block of West Highland Avenue, the 1500 block of Gordon Avenue, the 1500 block of Palmyra Court, the 200 block of Slater King Drive, the 1200 block of Malone Drive, the 2200 block of Gillionville Road and the 800 block of North Harding Street;

— Theft by taking on the 1000 block of South Harding Street and the 900 block of Jolly Court;

— Financial transaction card theft on the 2200 block of Champagne Lane;

— Disorderly conduct, a fight on the 1200 block of Jones Avenue, the 1500 block of Radium Springs Road, the 600 block of Cherry Avenue and the 2400 block of Brierwood Drive;

— Forgery on the 400 block of West Broad Avenue;

— Battery on the 1200 block of East Residence Avenue;

— Possession of cocaine on the 200 block of South McKinley Street;

— Possession of marijuana less than an ounce on the 2400 block of North Slappey Boulevard;

— Vandalism, simple battery (domestic) on the 500 block of Dorsett Avenue;

— Assault (domestic) on the 2100 block of Tompkins Avenue and the 1000 block of Dunes Avenue;

— Battery (domestic) on the 300 block of Station Crossing Drive and the 2300 block of West Gordon Avenue.

ALBANY FIRE: Albany firefighters responded to nine calls including:

— Two fire safety programs, animal rescue, smoke odor, three active alarms, a grass fire and an electric short.
