ALBANY, Ga. — An attempted armed robbery outside a pharmacy store Wednesday night ended up with the gunman running away empty handed, police say.
According to Albany Police Department reports, a white man in his early 20s approached a 66-year-old woman outside the CVS drugstore at 609 Westover Blvd. about 5 p.m., showed her a handgun and demanded money.
In the end, however, he fled without getting any money. The woman was uninjured.
The would-be bandit was described as 6-foot-2 and weighing about 200 pounds. He has sandy-blond hair cut in a crewcut and was wearing a blue shirt, dark tie and black pants.
