SYLVESTER, Ga. — It was a wild day Thursday, according to Worth County Sheriff Freddie Tompkins.
A man stole a car from a Dairy Queen in Sylvester around noon. He drove the Chevrolet Impala to Ty Ty, where he held up a convenience store. Driving through more county lines, the suspected thief also held up a store in Doerun and headed back toward Worth County.
A Worth County deputy on patrol spotted him and pulled him over. The man ran out of the car, but the deputy gave chase and arrested him at about 7 p.m.
By 8:30 p.m. the man still refused to speak and his identification and name were unavailable, Tompkins said.
