Man who fell from overpass recovering

ALBANY — Earnest Cook remained in good condition Friday as he recovers from a fall off the East Broad Avenue train overpass, a Phoebe Putney Memorial spokeswoman said.

Cook was found by Albany Police Department officers about 6:45 p.m. Thursday, lying on the Broad Avenue shoulder and bleeding from the forehead, a police report stated. A witness had seen Cook fall from the train overpass as she drove by, the report added.

He was taken to the hospital by Dougherty County EMS ambulance.
