ALBANY, Ga. — Two males became victims of an aggravated assault and aggressive driving incident that took place over the weekend.
At around 9 p.m. Saturday, Jakoria Hicks, 20, and Ronnie Jackson Jr.,
13, were traveling northbound on South Westover Boulevard from West Gordon Avenue. At the 400 block of Westover,
an unknown black male drove up
behind them in a gray Pontiac, possibly
a Grand Am.
When Hicks did not pull over to let the suspect car pass, the suspect pulled up beside him, the APD said. The black male driver and Hicks exchanged words, and then the suspect pulled out a gun, which appeared to be a Glock.
When Hicks saw the gun, he tried to speed away from the suspect vehicle. The suspect then shot at the victim’s car, striking the rear passenger quarter panel and the rear window.
The bullet went through the car and struck Hicks on the right shoulder, grazing him, and then struck the windshield on the driver’s side.
A lookout has been placed for the suspect and the vehicle.
