Albany ALBANY — The Georgia Lottery Corp. in Atlanta reported that Shona West, 41, of Albany has won $1 million on a ticket in Friday’s Mega Millions game drawing.
Lottery officials say West matched the first five winning numbers in the drawing, but not the Mega Ball number, which qualified her for the game’s second prize. Since she paid $1 extra for the Megaplier option, her prize quadrupled from $250,000 to $1 million.
One Stop Food Store, located at 1404 W. Oakridge Drive in Albany, sold the lucky Quik Pik ticket.
West claimed her prize money Wednesday.
