Police/Fire/EMS report for Sept. 4, 2011

ALBANY -- Albany police responded to at least 40 incidents Friday into the early hours of Saturday, according to available police reports. Police responded to incidents including:

-- Motor vehicle theft and recovery on the 1000 block of West Fifth Avenue;

-- Theft by taking on the 1700 block of Devon Drive, the 100 block of North Jackson Street, the 2500 block of Slappey Boulevard, the 100 block of North Harding Street and the 200 block of Cordele Road;

-- Information only, cat food thrown in a fish pond killed the fish on the 2300 block of Doublegate Drive;

-- Burglary on the 1300 block of Dawson Road, the 1500 block of Georgia Avenue, the 2000 block of Leonard Avenue and the 2700 block of Phillips Drive;

-- Disorderly conduct, a fight on the 700 block of West Highland Avenue and the 200 block of West Tift Avenue;

-- Obstructing law enforcement on the 1100 block of 10th Avenue;

-- Misuse of 911 call on the 400 block of Flint Avenue;

-- Drunken driving on the 400 block of West Oglethorpe Boulevard and the 100 block of North Slappey Boulevard;

-- Aggravated battery on the 1200 block of Gillespie Avenue;

-- Aggravated assault on the 500 block of Tift Avenue;

-- Aggravated assault (domestic) on the 400 block of Gaines Avenue;

-- Assault (domestic) two calls on the 2500 block of North Slappey Boulevard;

-- Simple battery (domestic) on the 500 block of Harding Street;

-- Domestic (unfounded) on the 2000 block of Indica Trail, the 400 block of South Cleveland Avenue and the 1200 block of Kingstown Court.
