ALBANY, Ga. — A semi has yet to be recovered after it went missing over the weekend, officials with the Albany Police Department say.
The APD responded to the June Bug store at 2125 Newton Road in reference to a stolen semi truck. The victim, identified by police as 48-year-old McArthur Jackson, said he came to the store’s parking lot at 3:18 a.m. Tuesday to retrieve his truck so he could head to work.
That’s when he noticed that the vehicle, a brown 2005 Columbia Freightliner, had been stolen.
The narrative from the APD report states that the last time he had seen the truck was in the June Bug parking lot at 11 a.m. Sunday when he had come to get some tools out of the vehicle.
Jackson stated to police that there is a spare key inside. A lookout has been placed for the semi. There was no tag information or vehicle identification number available at the time of the report’s filing. There were no signs of forced entry at the scene.
The suspects took the truck but left the trailer that had been attached.
