ALBANY --- The Rams may not have been totally satisfied with their performance in Saturday's Music City Classic in Macon, but their comeback win against Savannah State was good enough to move them up in the AFCA Division II Coaches' Poll.
The Rams, who entered their season opener tied for ninth place with Bloomsburg (Pa.), are now ranked No. 7.
ASU jumped past Delta State (Miss.), which dropped from second to 11th, and Augustana (S.D.), which dropped from eighth to 16th. Wingate, ASU's next opponent, dropped from 14th to 23rd after losing a double-overtime game to Valdosta State on Saturday. Valdosta State, which the Rams play on Sept. 17, jumped from 20th to 14th in the weekly poll.
The Rams remained at No. 10 in the d2football.
