Police/Fire/EMS report for Sept. 11, 2011
ALBANY, Ga. -- Albany police responded to at least 20 incidents Friday, according to available police reports. Police responded to incidents including:
-- The following calls all involve theft of metals such as copper typically sold for scrap. Theft by taking air conditioners on the 900 block of West Oglethorpe Boulevard, the 2200 block of Toledo Drive and the 300 block of Carriage lane. Theft by taking chain link fencing on the 2200 block of South Jackson Street. Burglary, theft of a bathroom sink and copper from the 1400 block of East residence Avenue;
-- Deceased person on the 2000 block of Beachview Drive;
-- Battery (domestic) child abuse on the 2400 block of Nottingham Way.
ALBANY FIRE: Albany firefighters responded to 16 calls including:
-- Two vehicle crashes involving two vehicles in each one, a fire drill, a controlled burn, two vehicle fires, three activated alarms, three false alarms, a deceased person, fire on a utility pole, a grass fire and a vehicle crash.
