Mental illness subject of NAMI Night
ALBANY -- Have you ever wondered what happens in the human brain when a person is depressed, manic, hyper, irrational or obsessive?
Answers to those and other questions about mental illness will be explored on NAMI Night Tuesday when the local affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness presents "Mental Illnesses Are Biological Illnesses: An Overview of Brain Biology in Mental Illness."
The Albany NAMI affiliate holds NAMI Nights at 6:30 p.m. the second Tuesday of each month at Phoebe Northwest on Dawson Road. The meetings are open to the public, and a Sharing and Caring support group meets immediately afterward.
For additional information about NAMI, go online to www.nami.org. For information about NAMI-Albany, search for NAMI Albany GA Home or call Pam at (229) 343-8791.
