A big ol' AMEN to that! That goes for restaurants, too! I don't agree with leaving them at home, though. Please teach them to be little ladies and gentlemen and how to conduct themselves in public!

How can you expect parents to teach their children how to conduct themselves in public when some of the parents don't even know how to conduct themselves in public?

I was not allowed to act that way. I was taken to the car and given a spanking for that stuff. Of course, now that would be considered child abuse, but hey, it worked in making me respect authority, something that young people today have no concept of.

I remember the days when you were sent to the principals office and they would paddle you good, but of course they can't do that now and that's a big part of the problem. My definition of child abuse is bruising of the body unnecessarily, not a good old normal spanking. Truthfully my parents never really spanked me, maybe a little pop but it didn't hurt, but the fact that I made them angry hurt more than the spank itself and that alone taught me not to do it again. The kids today, you could whop them with a sledgehammer and it would not teach them respect for authority, if anything they would probably grab a gun and shoot and kill you, that's how cold hearted they are today.

Boy, you should have been in the Lee County Publix on Sunday afternoon. If there was a child that needed a good spanking, it was the one that was screaming to the top of his lungs throughout the store. That really made for an enjoyable shopping experience. This will probably be one that will go through the school system and the parent will expect the teachers to teach discipline. Oh wait, teachers can't do that for fear of being sued. What is wrong with this picture?
