Albany Albany police say that an older man with a knife made off with cash drawer of an Albany fast-food restaurant Monday night.
Albany Police Department spokesperson Phyllis Whitley-Banks said the KFC restaurant at 400 W. Oglethorpe Blvd. was hit by an older black male about 6 feet, 1 inch in height around 9:06 p.m. Monday.
Banks said the man, "armed with a knife, entered the business and demanded money from the register. When he produced the knife, the cashier and other employees ran to the back of the business."
The bandit then jumped the counter, grabbed the cash register drawer and ran out with it, police said. He was last on foot headed south on Jefferson Street.
"He was last seen wearing a black shirt with white writing on it, black jeans, and is missing a front tooth," Whitley-Banks said. "No one was injured."
Anyone with information should call the Albany Police Department or Crime Stoppers, she said.
