Police/Fire/EMS report for Sept. 16, 2011

ALBANY, Ga. -- Albany police responded to at least 47 incidents Wednesday and into the early hours of Thursday, according to available police reports. Police responded to incidents including:

-- Theft by taking on the 400 block of West Society Avenue and the 1300 block of West Highland Avenue;

-- Disorderly conduct, a fight on the 200 block of West Oglethorpe Boulevard, the 100 block of North Hailey Street, the 2400 block of North Slappey Boulevard and the 1000 block of Donaldson Drive;

-- Motor vehicle theft on the 400 block of West Tift Avenue;

-- Truancy on the 2300 block of Hubert Avenue;

-- Burglary on the 1300 block of South Jefferson Street;

-- Entering auto on the 300 block of South Jackson Street;

-- Injured person on the 100 block of Morningside Drive and the 4000 block of Gillionville Road;

-- Battery on the 1900 block of West Highland Avenue;

-- Giving false name on the 1300 block of East Residence Avenue;

-- Simple battery (domestic) on the 2300 block of West Gordon Avenue and the 300 block of Slater King Drive;

-- Violation of family violence order on the 200 block of North Broadway Street;

-- Assault (domestic) on the 2500 block of Slappey Boulevard.

DOUGHERTY POLICE: Dougherty County police responded to at least 11 calls, according to police reports.

Police responded to incidents including:

-- Theft of a $4,000 central air conditioner on the 6700 block of Hardup Road;

-- Traffic arrest on Newton Road at Leary Road.

DOUGHERTY EMS: Dougherty County EMS responded to 44 calls on Wednesday. There were 32 medical calls and 12 trauma calls.

The chief complaints of the medical calls: one chest pain, two respiratory issues, five seizure calls, one mental health call, four miscellaneous pain calls one possible stroke and 18 various medical calls. The trauma calls: Three auto crash victims and nine falls.

LEE SHERIFF: Lee County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to at least 32 calls.

Deputies responded to calls including:

-- Vehicle crash on the 2800 block of Ledo Road, the 700 block of Jordan Road, the 200 block of James Pond Road and the 1500 block of Highway 19;

-- Forgery on the 1500 block of Highway 19;

-- Animal call, dog left in vehicle on the 2800 block of Ledo Road and someone shot a dog on the 500 block of White Pond Road;

-- Domestic on the 900 block of Lovers Lane Road;

-- Road hazard on the 100 block of Endoline Drive;

-- Reckless driving on the 100 block of Creekside Place;

-- Gas drive off on the 1400 block of Highway 19.

ALBANY FIRE: Albany firefighters responded to six calls, including two activated alarms, a power line down, an overheated light fixture, vehicle fire and a false alarm.
