Ghost hunters fight cancer

ALBANY — Particpants at an Albany event Saturday will be able to track down ghosts while supporting a good cause.

The Southwest Georgia Cancer Coalition and South Georgia Paranormal Inc. are hosting Paranormal Kicks Cancer at 5 p.m. Saturday at the Albany Welcome Center in downtown Albany. proceeds from the event will go to the coalition.

Speakers scheudled include Leon Wilkes, demonologist, from SGPI and Where Angels Dare Ministries; Laurie Crane, co-founder of Greater Atlantic Society of the Paranormal; Billy Engler, director of the Paulding Paranormal, and Kerri Wright with Georgia Paranormal Investigation in Middle Georgia. There will also be a paranormal investigation of a haunted location. Participants can skip the haunted hunt portion of the event if they want.

Participants who do want to search for otherwordly apparitions are encouraged to bring their digital cameras and voice recorders for the investigation. Following the event a web page will be set up on SGPI website and the evidence gathered by the participants will be posted. This event will take place simultaneously in Texas, Florida and Illinois and video feeds from each event can be seen at www.ghostshow.net.

Seating is limited. Tickets range in price from $20-$25. You must be at least 13-years-old to attend and children must be accompanied by an adult.
