ALBANY — Flint RiverQuarium, along with sponsors MillerCoors, Home Depot and Pro Net, is combining nature and entertainment with a Wings and Wildlife weekend Saturday and Sunday.
Saturday events will begin at 10 a.m. and run until 4 p.m. Sunday events will begin at 1 p.m. and run until 6:30 p.m.
Activities on Saturday range from a snake show to storytelling to a birds of prey show and more. All of these activities will be included in the regular price of admission to the Flint RiverQuarium, some though activities during the weekend will require additional fees.
Registration will take place on the day of the event on a space-available basis.
On Sunday, visitors can participate in a five-mile river canoe or kayak trip with a barbecue meal and music to follow. The five-mile trip starts at 1:30 p.m. and is followed with music and a barbecue supper. Cost for this event varies between $30-$40 if the participants has a kayak or canoe and $40-$55 if renting one.
For those only interested in the dinner and music portion, the event begins at 3:30 p.m.. Admission for RiverQuarium members is adult, $8; child, $5. Admission for non-members is $12, adult; $6, child.
A limited number of spaces are available so advance registration for these events are suggested.
