Police/Fire/EMS report for Sept. 23, 2011
ALBANY, Ga. -- Albany police responded to at least 18 incidents Wednesday according to available reports. Police responded to incidents including:
-- Aggravated cruelty to an animal; a man reported his dog shot by another man on the 1400 block of Seventh Avenue;
-- Burglaries on the 3400 block of Plantation Drive, the 600 block of Parkwood Avenue, the 2000 block of Melrose Drive and the 1200 block of Crawford Drive;
-- Motor vehicle theft on the 400 block of Kingswood Drive;
-- Entering auto on the 300 block of Pine Avenue;
--Thefts by taking on the 900 block of West Society Avenue, the 800 block of North Madison Street and the 400 block of Jeffries Avenue;
-- Disorderly conduct on the 2400 block of Dawson Road;
-- Domestic disturbance (unfounded) on the 100 block of Shelby Lane.
DOUGHERTY EMS: Dougherty County EMS responded to 78 calls on Wednesday. There were 44 medical calls, 31 trauma calls and three other type calls. Chief complaints among the medical calls were four chest pain calls, three respiratory issues, two diabetic issues, three seizure calls, one obstetrics call, five mental health calls, one miscellaneous pain call and 24 various medical calls. Trauma calls included 21 auto crash victims, nine falls and one eye injury. Other type calls are typically standby or transport for other agencies.
ALBANY FIRE: Albany firefighters responded to 26 calls Wednesday, including a bedding fire, three debris fires, two unattended cooking calls, two grass fires, six false alarms, a fire safety program, five activated alarms, a deceased man, two vehicle crashes, a fire extinguisher class, an authorized burn and an unauthorized burn.
