The cast of “The Aristocats.” Performances for the show are for today, Saturday and Sunday.
Leesburg “The Aristocats, kids!” will come to the stage at Lee County High School this weekend for a three-day performance schedule.
Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. today and Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the high school’s Clay Auditorium. Tickets are $7, adult; 45, child.
The cast includes 35 actors ages six to 18, including six sets of siblings. They will portray Thomas O’Malley and his gang of alley cats’ efforts to assist a beautiful dutchess and her three mischievous kittens as they make their way through Paris to reunite with their owner.
“This story is one of my all-time favorites from Disney,” said Dotty Davis, director and choreographer of the production. “The music was so different from other Disney shows and so much fun to sing and dance to.” Songs features in the production include “Everybody Wants To Be a Cat” and “Scales and Arpessios.”
The musical director is Kevin Blaise, LCHS’s choral dircetor, and the technical director is Davis’ husband, Robby Davis.
