Dawson — DAWSON, Ga. — Four men were arrested Wednesday in connection with gunning down a Dawson man on the 700 block of First Avenue, a Georgia Bureau of Investigation report stated.
Walter Bell, 41, was fatally shot outside his home before 4:40 a.m. Sept. 15. He was shot after firefighters extinguished a midnight fire at the home.
The following Dawson men are in Terrell County jail charged with felony murder, malice murder, armed robbery, arson and at least one other crime:
- Christopher Buffin, 23, of 410 Cherry Alley
- Bryant Hughley, 23, of 196 Clay Alley
- Dominique Polite, 29, of 316 Seventh Avenue
- Machino Hudson, 30, of 1757 Columbus Highway.
The continuing investigation also involves the Dawson Police Department and the Georgia State Probation Office.
