ALBANY, Ga. — Just after Dougherty Judicial Circuit District Attorney Greg Edwards filled the Gang Task Force meeting in about charging gang members with racketeering Thursday, the new leader of the Gang Unit introduced herself.
After receiving her captain’s bars, Wendy Luster was assigned the job of running the Gang Unit on Sept. 5.
She has been with the police for 15 years, she said.
Her experience includes years of training, uniform street beats and policing an alternative school with gang member contact.
