ALBANY,Ga. — Albany police responded to at least 24 incidents Thursday, according to available reports. Police responded to incidents including:

— Thefts by taking on the 400 block of South Slappey Boulevard and the 800 block of West Lincoln Avenue;

— Burglary on the 1700 block of Gillespie Avenue;

— Burglary attempt on the 1000 block of West Gordon Avenue;

— Simple battery on the 800 block of West Whitney Avenue;

—Motor vehicle theft on the 1300 block of Colquitt Avenue;

— Obstruction on the 1700 block of East Oglethorpe Boulevard;

— Cruelty to a child on the 900 block of South Street;

— Assaults (domestic) on the 100 block of Shelly Lane and the 200 block of Frost Street;

— Battery, cruelty to children (domestic), on the 1000 block of Fort Glen Drive;

— Simple battery (domestic) on the 400 block of Alice Avenue;

— Domestic disturbances (unfounded) on the 500 block of West Lincoln Avenue, the 200 block of North Central Street, the 1600 block of Whisperwood Street and the 800 block of West First Avenue.

ALBANY FIRE: Albany firefighters responded to nine calls Thursday, including a vehicle crash, two vehicle fluids on roadways, an unauthorized burn, an activated fire alarm, a false alarm, assist Albany Police Department with a ladder and two fire station tours.
