SATURDAY NIGHT PREP FOOTBALL ROUNDUP: Westwood beats Fullington, 66-0; Bainbridge shut out by Northside, Warner Robins

CAMILLA — Westwood is not just rolling these days, the Wildcats are rolling right over opponents.
The top-ranked team in Georgia GISA Class A and the defending state champion opened Region 3-A play Saturday night at home and destroyed Fullington Academy, 66-0.
Quarterback Mason Worsham completed 9 of 13 passes for 230 yards and threw three TD passes. He also ran for a touchdown.
In the second quarter, Worsham intercepted a pass and returned it to Fullington’s 28-yard line, and then on the next play he hit Brody Collins with a TD pass. It was 47-0 at halftime.
The Wildcats have now won 18 games in a row and are 5-0 for the season.
J.T. Edore also had a big night, gaining 140 yards on seven carries and scoring twice, and fullback Daniel hays ran for a pair of touchdowns in the rout.
BAINBRIDGE FALLS: Bainbridge’s perfect season ended Saturday afternoon in a 31-0 loss at Northside, Warner Robins as the Bearcats fell to the state’s No. 2 ranked Class AAAA team in the Region 1-AAAA opener for both teams.
Northside (4-0, 1-0) held Bainbridge to only 64 yards of offense in a heated game that saw both teams combine for 19 penalties worth 155 yards.
The Herald No. 3 Bearcats (3-1, 0-1) had won three in a row with a stingy defense that had allowed just 40 points.
