Sasser Bill Harrell will be performing 1 p.m. -6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Mark’s melon Patch near Sasser on Georgia Highway 520 as a series of fall celebration weekends kick off.
Along with the concert, there will be face painting and hay rides through the pumpkin patch. Kids can also check out the giant pumpkin jumpy castle and the spooky trail. There will be homemade ice cream and corn stalks, cotton stalks, hay bales and sugar cane for sale. Those activities will be regular occurrences through late October.
More events will take place during the month, such as:
Church family weekend: 1 p.m.-6 p.m., Oct. 8 and 9; music by Billy Ryals & Southern Joy; activities, including dunking booth.
Country music weekend: 1 p.m.-6 p.m., Oct. 15 and 16; music by Matt Casey and Bubba Hall; activities.
Family festival Weekend: 1 p.m.-6 p.m., Oct. 22 and 23; music by Bill Harrell and Bubba Hall; activities.
Family Halloween Weekend: 1 p.m.-6 p.m., Oct. 29 and 30; music by Bill Harrell; activities.
Fun in the dark night hay rides: dark-9 p.m., Oct. 26-29. This is a time to see 100 candlelit jack-o-lanterns and take a hay ride in the dark through the pumpkin patch.
