ATLANTA — An Albany mother has won a second prize from the Georgia Lottery within months. Cynthia Royster, 55, won a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee playing the instant game Jeep Outdoor Adventure.
The mother of three also won a $10,000 prize in July from the monthly Maximum Green Extra Chance drawings. She paid bills with her winnings and gave a portion of the prize to her children.
She plans to give the Jeep to her son who has Cystic Fibrosis.
“He’s really happy,” she said. “He’s tickled, and it’s the color he wants.” Royster said she feels lucky to be able to give her son, who frequently travels to Atlanta for treatment, the prize.
Fast Break Food Store 104, 2824 Old Dawson Road in Albany, sold the winning ticket.
