BLAKELY -- Eloise Redding Harris, 90, of Bluffton, GA died Thursday, September 29, 2011 at Early Memorial Nursing Home in Blakely. Funeral services will be held today, Saturday, October 1, 2011 in the chapel of Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home at 2:00 PM with interment to follow in Mars Hill Cemetery. Rev. Jackie Williams will be officiating, active pallbearers being John Redding, Phil Redding, David Cleveland, Byron Bell, Fred Lewis, Tony Smith, and Kenny Redding, and honorary pallbearers Cowboys and Butchers of White Oak Pastures.
Mrs. Harris was born on October 15, 1920 to the late Vigil R. Redding and Bama Hamilton Redding in Dixie, GA. She was of the Methodist faith and was a homemaker. Along with her parents, Mrs. Harris was preceded in death by her husband, Will Bell Harris; two sisters, Aileen Batchelor and Mattie Loyless; seven brothers, Buster Redding, Wayne Redding, Grover Redding, Jim Redding, Robert Redding, Russell Redding and Chester Redding.
Survivors include her son, Will Harris III and his wife Yvonne from Bluffton, GA; three grandchildren, Jessica Harris Miller (Joey) of Donalsonville, GA, Jenni Harris and Jodi Harris both of Bluffton, GA.
Family will receive friends one hour before the funeral from 1:00-2:00 PM at the funeral home.
