NEWTON -- The Baker County Sheriff's Office and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation's Sylvester field office are investigating a shooting here Sunday evening.
On Sunday, at approximately 8:25 p.m., the GBI was requested to conduct an investigation into a shooting that occurred on Coon Pond Road in rural Baker County. A news release issued by the GBI on Monday states that a 34-year-old male received a non life-threatening injury as a result of the shooting. He was treated and released from a local hospital.
No arrests had been made as of Monday evening. The investigation, now being lead by the GBI, is still ongoing.
Nothing further was available on the incident Monday.
