Stonebridge to host 'Play Day' for kids Saturday

ALBANY — The rules have changed for 10-and-under tennis. The USTA has now approved smaller courts, lower nets, low compression balls (lower bounce), easier scoring and shorter rackets to help 4-10 year old boys and girls be more successful playing tennis earlier and have more fun.

If you have a child that is 10-and-under (beginner to advanced level), bring him/her to Stonebridge on Saturday to try the new way to play tennis. Parents will attend a short briefing regarding the new concept and are then invited to help out. Different length junior rackets will be available to tryout/purchase if needed. There will also be other activities for all levels.

Following the Saturday “Play Day” there will be an opportunity to continue participating in the 10-and-under program each week throughout April and May and then in June at four Stonebridge Junior Tennis Camp sessions.
