SYLVESTER -- Mrs. Earline "Boots" McDonald Goodwin, 92, of Moultrie died Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at Adel Memorial Convalescent Center.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 13, 2012 at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Bruce Gordon and Rev. Jerry Cooper officiating.
Mrs. Goodwin was born on February 5, 1920 to the late Bob Washington and Lena Davis McDonald in Worth County. She attended Worth County Schools. Mrs. Goodwin was a distributor for Vanda Beauty Counselor for many years and was also employed with Dr. Wilson and Dr. Dowling in Albany. She and her late husband Joe enjoyed playing musical instruments and singing at various places in the local area. Mrs. Goodwin was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.
Survivors include her son, James Lamar Shiver (Betsy) of Moultrie; grandchildren, Steve Shiver (Sabrina) of Douglasville, Todd Shiver (Janet) of Ellensburg, WA; step-grandson, Damon Hall (Gwyn) of Sylvester; sister, Geneva Jones (Clarence) of Sylvester; brothers, Bobby McDonald, Jr. of Sylvester, Jimmy McDonald (Betty) of Sylvester, Tony McDonald (Lorene) of Sylvester; great grandchildren, Blake Shiver (Lindsey), Elise Shiver, Andrew Shiver, Justin Shiver and Morgan Shiver.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. McDonald was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph L. Goodwin, on September 2, 1996 and eight siblings.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 10:00 AM until service hour at Antioch Baptist Church.
