Police/Fire/EMS - April 12, 2012

ALBANY, Ga. — Albany police responded to at least 40 incidents Tuesday according to available police reports. Police responded to incidents including:

— Public indecency, saggy pants on the 800 block of West Residence Avenue;

— Burglary on the 2300 block of Whispering Pines Road, the 2400 block of Sylvester Road and the 2500 block of Barnesdale Way;

— Entering auto on the 500 block of West Whitney Avenue, the 1000 block of North Slappey Boulevard, the 2500 block of Nottingham Way, the 1300 block of Blaylock Drive and the 600 block of West Society Avenue;

— Aggravated assault, no injury reported on the 600 block of Gaines Avenue;

— Motor vehicle theft on the 2000 block of North Slappey Boulevard and the 1000 block of South Slappey Boulevard;

— Simple battery on the 1200 block of Gillespie Avenue;

— Interference with a city officer on the 1200 block of East Residence Avenue;

— Theft by taking on the 600 block of South Shadowlawn Drive;

— Injured person on the 2200 block of Lionell lane;

— Assault (domestic) on the 2300 block of West Gordon Avenue and the 1400 block of East First Avenue;

— Robbery, burglary (domestic) on the 2000 block of Riverview Circle;

— Battery (domestic) on the 2300 block of West Gordon Avenue;

— Vandalism (domestic) on the 900 block of Wells Avenue;

— Domestic (unfounded) on the 200 block of West Oglethorpe Boulevard, the 600 block of 12th Avenue and the 1100 block of Mary Avenue.

DOUGHERTY POLICE: Dougherty County police responded to at least four calls, according to police reports.

Police responded to incidents including:

— Theft of $750 in tractor counterweights on the 2300 block of South County Line Road;

— Theft of a license plate from a Honda Accord on the 2600 block of Oakview Street;

— Traffic/narcotics arrest (less than an ounce of marijuana) on the 2800 block of Sylvester Road.

DOUGHERTY COUNTY EMS: The Dougherty County Emergency Medical Service responded to 56 calls on Tuesday.

There were 41 medical calls, 14 trauma calls and one other call. Medical Calls: Four chest pains, six respiratory issues, one fainting, three diabetic issues, two possible strokes, three mental health calls, one miscellaneous pain calls and 21 various medical. Trauma calls: Nine vehicle crash victims, three falls and two other trauma. Other type calls are typically medical alerts or standby.

ALBANY FIRE DEPARTMENT: The Albany Fire Department responded to 11 incidents, including two grass fires, medical assistance, tree burn pit, trash bin fire, extricate hand from vehicle console, tanning bed fire, pine cone fire, electrical short, trash fire and a false alarm.
