ALBANY, Ga. — The Business and Social Science Divisions at Darton College are gearing up for their annual Clay Shoot Competition on Saturday.
This year’s competition will be held at the Flint Skeet & Trap Club, located at 1319 Lily Pond Road in Albany. All proceeds from the event benefit student scholarships for the Business and Social Science Divisions.
The event includes a clay shoot competition, lunch catered by Meatslangers and prizes for the winners. Clay shoot registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and the competition will start at 10 a.m.
Tickets for the clay shoot are $40, which includes 75 shots and lunch. Tickets for the lunch only can be purchased for $15. For information and to purchase tickets call (229) 317-7001.

Just how does one cook one of those CLAYS?

You have to boil them for 6 to 10 hours with a little salt. Then carefully drain the water through a collander, throw out the clays, use the water to water your plants and order a pizza.
