THOMASVILLE, Ga. — Archbold Medical Center in Thomasville is hosting a public dedication and open house for its new North Tower.
The event, set for 1:30 p.m. Sunday, will formally introduce the eight-story, 247,000-square-foot addition to the hospital. U.S. Sen. Saxby Chambliss, R-Moultrie, is expected to speak at the event.
Attendees will be treated to a guided tour of the brand new facility, including the new emergency department, surgery department and 114 new private patient rooms including a new intensive care unit and intermediate care unit.
The tower, which officials say represents a $125 million investment, is located on the Mimosa Drive side of the hospital. The public dedication will take place in the new emergency department lobby, also on Mimosa Drive. Parking will be available in Archbold’s East Tower, ambulatory care center and Singletary Oncology Center parking lots.
