PAGEANTS

The 73rd Cook County Forestry Pageant is scheduled for Saturday in Adel. The winners of the Cook County Forestry Pageant will receive their entry fees paid to represent the county in the 73rd Miss Georgia Forestry Pageant, the state’s oldest scholarship pageant. This year, a formal ball will be held for the Teen and Miss contestants. The Cook County queens will be responsible for promoting forestry for the county. The pageant is open to young ladies ages birth to 24 years from Cook and all surrounding counties. The younger girls are judged a 1 to 20 on poise, beauty, gown, personality, and overall appearance. The Teen and Miss are judged on interview, public speaking, and evening gown.
