ALBANY -- Activity on the Albany Police Department's caseload includes two aggravated assaults from over the weekend, reports show.
One such incident took place at a home on the 1000 block of Moultrie Road at around 9 p.m. Saturday when the suspect became irate and started swinging a metal pipe, police officials say.
The suspect reportedly swung the pipe at one person but missed and struck Lenora Chapman, 44, in the face. No arrest had been made in the case as of Monday afternoon.
Another assault was reported at 910 W. Broad Ave., the site of Chucks Appliances, at 1 p.m. Saturday. Reports from that incident say officers responded to the scene in reference to a criminal trespass.
The victim, identified as Trenton Fincher, 25, reported that after an argument, the suspect threw a putty knife at him, striking him in the head.
Officials say the incident had unfolded the night before. It was unclear Monday afternoon whether there had been an arrest made in connection to the case.
