Police/Fire/EMS - April 18, 2012

ALBANY — Albany police responded to at least 54 incidents Monday into the early hours of Tuesday, according to available reports. Police responded to incidents including:

— Thefts by taking on the 1600 block of East Broad Avenue, the 2400 block of Dawson Road, the 2100 block of East Oglethorpe Boulevard, the 600 block of East Broad Avenue and the 700 block of West Whitney Avenue;

— Identity fraud on the 2100 block of Rosebrier Avenue;

— Burglaries on the 2000 block of East Broad Avenue, the 600 block of Kingsbury Lane and two on the 2000 block of Whitney Avenue;

— Child molestation on the 2100 block of Tompkins Avenue;

— Missing juvenile on the 700 block of Mobile Avenue;

— Entering autos on the 800 block of West Oglethorpe Boulevard and the 1500 block of South Slappey Boulevard;

— Criminal damage, copper tubing cut from an air conditioner, on the 1100 block of North Madison Street;

— Disorderly conduct on the 900 block of Corn Avenue, the 100 block of Force Drive and the 200 block of East Oglethorpe Boulevard;

— Aggravated assault, cruelty to a child (domestic), on the 400 block of Jeffries Avenue;

— Battery (domestic) on the 1900 block of Stuart Avenue;

— Domestic dispute on the 900 block of Willow Wood Drive;

— Domestic disputes (unfounded) on the 2300 block of West Gordon Avenue, the 1900 block of North Harding Street, the 600 block of Sands Drive, the 300 block of McCray Drive and the 300 block of Station Crossing Drive.

DOUGHERTY POLICE: Dougherty County police responded to at least 17 calls Monday, according to reports. Police responded to incidents including:

— Motor vehicle theft on the 3300 block of Sylvester Road;

— Animal investigation on the 2200 block of Austin Drive;

— Domestic dispute (verbal) on the 900 block of Branch Road;

— Theft of two pit bull puppies worth $600 on the 4800 block of Impala Lane;

— Recovered property and warrant for receiving stolen property on the 500 block of Pine Bluff Road;

— Identity theft on the 200 block of Manchester Drive;

— Recovered property, a 2005 Dodge Ram pickup, on the 1400 block of Mock Road;

— Theft of a $2,000 air conditioner on the 1400 block of Mock Road.

DOUGHERTY COUNTY EMS: The Dougherty County Emergency Medical Service responded to 55 calls on Monday, including 38 medical calls, 15 trauma calls and two other calls. Medical calls included three for chest pain, nine respiratory issues, two people fainted, one diabetic issue, one seizure, one obstetrics call, one mental health call, two miscellaneous pain calls, one allergic reaction and 16 various medical calls. Trauma calls included nine vehicle crash victims, five falls and one gunshot. Other type calls are typically medical alerts or standby.

ALBANY FIRE DEPARTMENT: The Albany Fire Department responded to seven incidents Monday, including a fire safety program, a power line down, a cat rescue from a vehicle engine compartment, investigate kittens under house, vehicle electrical short and two vehicle fires.
