ALBANY — The Albany State University student-athletes and student club will sponsor a benefit event to help a family in Baker County who were recent fire victims.
The ASU Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), in conjunction with the ASU HPER Club, will host the End-of-the-Year Pool Party tonight from 7:30 p.m. until 10 p.m. at the ASU HPER Gymnasium pool.
The organizations will accept donations of clothes, shoes, toiletries, canned food and household items to help the family. Monetary donations will also be accepted. Clothing is needed for four young girls, age six to 10, and adult men and women’s clothing. SAAC and HPER Club members will be available during the pool party to collect the items.
“Persons who cannot attend the pool party, may still donate items until May 4 to help in the effort. For more information, contact McCormick at 229-420-7013.
