ALBANY, Ga. — Washington Community Development Center in Albany is hosting its first community health fair Saturday at 1604 W. Oakridge Drive.
The event will begin at 9 a.m. and continue through noon. Health screenings and demonstrations are scheduled. Information will be provided on health services and resources.
Wendolyn Davis of Washington CDC said the nonprofit, faith-based organization hopes to motivate those participating to make positive health behavior changes. She said qualified people will be available to teach self-care practices.
Participants will receive free screenings, health education, door prizes and healthy refreshments including fruits, waters, juice and muffins.
