Frank Johnson Jr., affectionately known to his family as Frank Jr., was born in Glynn County, Brunswick, GA on August 20, 1953 to the late Elva and Frank Johnson Sr., two siblings also preceded Frank in death; James Johnson and Suzie Mae Hawkins. Frank Jr. was educated in Brunswick, GA public schools until he moved to Albany when he was in 9th grade. He flourished under the care of two aunts, Rosa and Marie Johnson (both who preceded him in death) and a host of other first cousins (which included, but is not limited to Floretta Brown, Mildred Weeks, Majetta Burns and the late Lois Bunn). He graduated from Monroe High School in 1970. Additionally, he graduated from Albany State University in 1974 with a major in history and political science. Frank was a family man, son, brother, husband, father, uncle, cousin; and a "Hard Working Man".
Frank judiciously carved out a life for his cherished family by working a number of jobs in addition to being employed by Miller Brewing Company for over 31 years. He motivated all around him to have a positive outlook and a strong work ethic. He stopped short of nothing to provide for his family and he was dearly loved by all members of his immediate family and a host of other family and friends.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Dr. Debra Pope Johnson, two daughters; Tolaison (Starling) Hooks and Ashley Johnson; one sister, Ms. Carrie Mae Lewis and a number of nieces and nephews and other family.
