EAST POINT, Ga. (AP) — Authorities say U.S. marshals shot and wounded a man while executing an arrest warrant at a hotel near Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
East Point police tell The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that members of the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force went to a room at the Crowne Plaza early Wednesday morning. Police say they were attempting to arrest a man wanted for the sale of methamphetamine and possession of explosives.
East Point police Sgt. Allyn Glover says officers confirmed the suspect was in a hotel room, and didn't get an answer at the door. Glover says the marshals then broke through the door, and were confronted by the suspect who was armed with a handgun.
The suspect, whose name wasn't released, was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital in stable condition.

If Raylan Givens was the marshal on duty, the suspect wouldn't be at Grady.

Ya Boy, ain't TV great. To bad in real life a certain healthy amount of fear doesn't make that hand quite as steady as it is on the range.
