"Looks like Rev. Bush has rounded up a couple of people to try to save his job. If these guys are so concerned about the children, why didn’t they run in the primary. If these pastors were as concerned about preaching the gospel as they are the school board, Albany would be a better place."

Here comes my standard question....is he really a pastor or just using the handle like a lot of black folks around these parts do? As I said before.....if I stand in a garage.....that doesn't make me a car does it? So, is he really a pastor or not? If he is I shall address him accordingly, if not then I shall not. Thanks.

Don't know, but I would loved to have been able to read his dissertation and watch him defend it if he had to go the same route that people NORMALLY go thru to get a REAL DOCTORATE...

Preaching the Gospel isn't the solution. Teaching the Gospel, getting people to accept it's premise and living the life the Gospel calls out for. Now that is part of the solution. If memory serves correctly, this Pastor hasn't been any Angel, even while chastising others for their behavior. Is this really a role model, and icon for a Church? Or simply a repentant Sinner that needs to sit in the Congregation and allow true individuals with a calling to serve.

Jesus wasn't the best idol for a Christian Church he wasn't even a Christian himself A Jewish Carpenter that was laughed at and supposedly came up with a book which just as much sin in it as any tabloid published today even worse a lot of topics covered in the Bible wouldn't be allowed in public today.....

I was once in no uncertain terms thrown off a blog for calling a cocaine snorting preacher who died from OD'ing on coke a pulpit pimp...gasp.....and he also had a penchant for high class call girls....and ran a multi-million dollar church in Miami...sigh..whatever happened to the good old days when preachers were the good guys and actually could be trusted to preach the good book and to tell us how to live good lives and be an example to us? Everyone had an excuse for why the worthless pulpit pimp ended up dead and not one reason was his fault. Go figure.

Do you ever fear the day Albany will look like one of those big cities up North, you know, semi-abandoned, with boarded up store fronts and FOR SALE signs in the store windows, like you see in Detroit and Pittsburgh? They never thought it could happen there and it did. Do you have areas in Albany like that now? I mean small areas that are abandoned and run down with storefronts with windows broken out. You see it a lot when you drive thru the many small towns in surrounding areas and it is sad to see because the small southern towns were once the jewels of southern living, in my opinion.

if murphree has a doctorate degree,it probably came from albany state or the equivalent and is about equal to passing the 6th grade in Lee county....
