CAMILLA -- Dorothy Ann Foister Shiver, 79, of Camilla, died Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at Pelham Parkway Nursing Home. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 18, 2012 at First Baptist Church in Camilla with interment in Pinecrest Memory Gardens. Rev. Ron Shiver and Rev. Josh Gill will officiate.
Pallbearers will include Donnie Foister, Randall Foister, Bernard Foister, Daniel Foister, Greg Foister, Keith Cumbie, Harold Jackson, Jr., and J.D. Shiver.
Born July 28, 1933 in Mitchell County, Mrs. Shiver was the daughter of the late Norman and Sophronia Faircloth Foister. She was married to the late Joel Clyde Shiver. Mrs. Shiver was owner and operator of Kiddie Corner Daycare for many years, before owning and operating Mitchell County Credit Bureau. She was a former member of the Eastern Star and was an avid flower gardener, and was well known for her beautiful yards. Mrs. Shiver was a member of First Baptist Church of Camilla.
Survivors include a daughter, Susan Jackson & husband, Harold, of Camilla; two sons, Ricky Shiver of Camilla and Joel Shiver & wife, Jan, of Royston; two sisters, Louise Morris of Vada and Shirley Thompson of Vada; four grandchildren, Ann Gill, J.D. Shiver, Harold Jackson, Jr., and Samantha Shiver; two great granddaughters, Natalie Gill and Layla Hubbard.
Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Friday, August 17 at Parker-Bramlett Funeral Home in Camilla.
