ALBANY — The Albany Area of Chamber of Commerce Business Expo is set for Sept. 20 at the Hilton Garden Inn, according to chamber officials.
“This is an opportunity for local businesses to interact with one another all in one place — to be able to walk a few steps and build new relationships and to enhance their businesses,” said Miles Espy, chamber chairman.
According to Espy, the Expo is primarily for the benefit of small businesses, though larger businesses are expected to attend.
In 2010, the last year the event was held, the expo attracted about 50 vendors, with at least that number expected this year, said Cherie Douthit, Chamber events manager. Admission to the event is $5 per person, or at no charge with a business card.
All attending vendors have been asked to contribute a door prize valued at $25 or more to be given away during the event, Douthit said, with an iPad to be given as the grand prize. Booths will be judged in various categories, including Best of Show, for integrating the Chamber theme, “Let’s Grow Together.”
Vender booths are available through September and are priced $150-$1,000. For information, contact Douthit at (229) 317-7188.
