Religion bulletin for August 18, 2012


Former President Jimmy Carter is scheduled to teach Sunday School this Sunday at Maranatha Baptist Church in Plains.


Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church will celebrate its 112th anniversary Aug. 30-Sept. 2. Services are planned at 7 p.m. on that Thursday and Friday featuring the Hopewell Baptist Church family and Pastor Tony Smith and the First Faith Baptist Church family and Pastor W. Bagley, respectively. The closing service is planned at 8 a.m. Sunday with Bishop O.D. Burton and New Zion Hill Baptist Church family in charge. The program also celebrates the first anniversary of Pastor Gregory Moye Sr. The church is located at 1210 Eight Mile Road.

Beautiful Light Baptist Church in Camilla has re-opened. Services are planned at 11 a.m. on the first and third Sunday of each month. Sunday School begins at 10 a.m.

Grace and Hope Covenant Church, 309 N. Washington St., will conduct its annual Rainbow Program at 3 p.m. Sunday.

Various speakers from the area have been invited to attend.
