Volunteers, family made election win possible

John Kennedy said it best, “We must find time to stop and thank the people who make a difference in our lives.” In total agreement with that, I want to take the time to thank the people who served tirelessly during my campaign.

Without God placing it on the hearts of the volunteers of the Fowler for Coroner Campaign to render their selfless service, I would not be Coroner. They walked the streets on days when the heat rose to record-breaking temperatures. They stayed at the polls, even when the rain came down. I know that there were so many unnamed supporters who wished to remain anonymous, but still rendered their support, and I am eternally grateful to them.

I want to thank the voters who stood unwaveringly in support at the polls. You did not allow negativity and falsehoods change your mind about me. You were committed to place the best people in the office by showing up at the polls in record numbers, and it paid off. I am in this office because YOU placed me here, and I will not disappoint you. You will continue to see me, hear from me, and be counted as a blessing to me.

In saving the best for last, I want to thank my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for showing me how to stand on His Word and using this campaign as a tool to exercise and strengthen my faith. He has led me to this place and position. I consider it a blessing and a duty. For this, I am determined to give Him and Albany my best.

Thank you, beautiful people of Dougherty County, for making a difference in my life. In return, I promise to make a difference in this city.

MICHAEL FOWLER
